LOCAL CULTURE:

Once a week, local farmers bring their fastest horses down from the mountains to showthem off at the “Carreras a la Chilena”, The races which consist of a fenced of 200 meters sprint,with plenty of liquid encouragement and “Empanadas Fritas” to go around,the races are worth betting on if your spanish is up to the task.The races offer visitors a relaxed,friendly atmosphere and great chance to meet the local farmers.

RAFTING: Raft or kayak the Trancura river on either class three or pkus five rapids.Companies provide instruction,waterproof gear,and knowledge of the whitewater.Enjoy pristine views of the surrounding mountains and Volcano.Whether to get feet wet, the Trancura offers plenty of opportunities to get your adrenaline going .
